Heading back to the river Wed. afternoon to give it another try. So far 2 trips and no fish. Is anyone going to be out Wed. afternoon? I need some HELP!:D I'll also be back out Fri eve w/ the bride and want to catch something other than a hell for no fish.;)

I have a meeting at 1:00 in Saginaw area on Wed and will be heading to the river afterwards. Let me know where to meet and maybe we can hook up. I'll have my FRS radio on 8.

I'll most likely be out there. I have a radio that I will have on channel 8, I dont know if it is compatible though. Look for me with a blue sled and a green hooded MSU sweatshirt and grey fleece coat. I will be fishing north of the Z-bridge.

Steely-head and others, please post a report on the ice conditions at melbourne rd. Last weekend we noticed thinning ice towards the middle of the river, still enough to fish on but it makes me nervous. I'm hoping to get more ice reports on this spot closer to the end of the week as well.

I will probally be out on the ice, but I doubt that it will be anywhere near the Z-bridge. I will probally head south from the bridge, later in the evening, see what I can do up there. Man I wish I had a digi. camera.

I'm out of this one gents. My damned car is still in the shop, I was counting on it being out of the shop by today, but instead due to a part having to be ordered it will be out tomorrow. Unless it gets out by noon or so, I wont make it. THURSDAY FOR SURE DAMMIT. I WILL BE THERE IF I HAVE TO RIDE A BIKE!:D

I was north of Z-bridge Tues. afternoon and the ice was good where I was { 8".} I got the smell of me for this year with a 20"er thanks to --------- , can't remember his handle, my fish came off right at the hole and -------- just got there to help me and did a quick job with the gaft. hey slowpoke that gaff man was msuiceman(steve). fished the river this morning and had it all to myself. got a 24 incher and to small ones that went back. i also lost a hog. i mean a true hog. had a few other hits also. they seemed to like flashy lures this morning. i will be up thursday around 4 if anyone else is out there. i will be on channel 8
