After using a homemade icerod holder for a couple trips I decided it is working out ok. I like to keep two jigs tied to each line and throwing the rods in a pile in the back of the tahoe usually created a mess. It didn't get any better after sticking them in a bucket and heading out on the lake. What I did was to make a holder that can be used to carry them on the sled and to store them after the trip. No more tangled lines makes for less setup time.
The first pic shows the rodholder removed from the sled and turned around. The second pic shows the rod holder installed on the sled.
I used an old broomhandle to make the frame and then added a couple berkley rod holders for the rods. I used half round plastic pipe holders for the sled and the rod holder slides into place when you are ready to go. The pipe holders are just slightly larger than the broomhandle.
