Spent 7 hrs. on the ice at Lexington thursday. From 9am - 1pm fished in about 7' of water near the mouth of the harbor...0 hits, water clarity poor. At 1pm we moved in closer to the launch(3 - 4') of water. Water clarity excellant. Could see fish mouthing the bait. Had 4 hits, acouple near misses, and one 15" steelhead up to the hole & lost 'em. All fish were on ave of 12". A guy next to us said the same thing...caught about 9 10 - 12"ers. Ice is almost 2' thick. A local told us that this recent cold spell has slowed them down a bit. Oh well it was a nice day, had a few beers & bs'd.

a couple locals mentioned blue/silver cleos or minnows. We were using minnows. They mentioned that last week during the warm spell the bite picked up, but slowed with the recent cold weather.
