I plan on going out to Stoney creek on Saturday to try to catch some more bull gills on the north lake. If any one is interested I will have the radio on chanel 8. I have a black frabill shanty. The last time I was there on Tuesday I caught a bunch the trick was to use a clump of waxies on the hook they were suspendid in about 15ft towards the dam.

Thanks for the info Bassmastergm! I like to fish the North Lake but have been unable to find the big gills, just lots of little ones. Sounds like I need to move to deeper water.:)

Good luck Greg. Hope you find em. I was out there today after work for a short time. Managed two 4 or 5" gills. Used one for a tip-up but didn't get any flags. Nice to be out, but, THERE IS TOO MUCH ICE OUT THERE!!!
I think my auger blades are dull. I tried sharpening them with a tool from MORA but it seems like that just made it worse. I won't be heading back out until I get that problem taken care of.
Have fun out there tomorrow,
John

Don
They were about the size of your hand and they all came within the first five feet of water.

Where have you guys been getting the bait? i would like to go out there again, last time I went was when i had baot left over from Kent lake. Is there a party store along the way i could stop and pick up a few wax worms? I normally take m-59 to dequindre and come in the park that way.

The gas station at 25 & Mound normally has mousies and waxies, for the little ones.
