Has anyone noticed any dead swan's lately. I ask because I have seen 3 of them lately. I'm not sure if it that I just haven't noticed them in the past or what. I saw one on my way up to Shelby and the other two on the Flat River in the Lowell area.
Can't say I've noticed any dead swans. They probably have a pretty rough go of it during the winter though.
Thought I would bring this back up. I have been reading that there were quite a few swans that died this past winter in MI. The DNR says they starved to death, and that it is not uncommon for them to do so. I gather from what I have been reading the swans are not well adapted to life here in MI. Guess maybe we need to pay a little more attention to them especially during the winter.

I was wondering about thier survival this winter when icefishing. I saw swans on several lakes all winter long and it seems that the long cold winter has to take some toll.

I thought I had already posted this earlier. Sorry about the delay.
