Pulled a limit of perch, sun up til sun down. Fast morning and evening, slooooow day. Good size. Most fish caught in the top 4' in 8' of water. Had to be live minnows(active) wouldn't touch anything else. No beads, no waxies, no spikes - just minnows

what size, and near what marina's? Excellent work if they have some size to them.

Some of the marinas I have been hitting on the nautical mile would have produced plenty of limits, that would be if I kept the 5-7 inchers.

Hi Harry, you've been pretty quiet. Workin' yourself to death or what? BTW, I'm Rick (Appointment) out of Sanilac. Thanks for the report. What size were they? Any pics? You say the top 4 to 8 FOW. How deep H2O were you fishing?

I plan on trying 11 mile and Jefferson area, is this close to your secret spot?:D

Just returned from 11 mile and jefferson area (marina behind library).
Fished from 3:15 to 6:15 and caught 20 perch with no keepers.
Fished 5 fow, water clarity was very good, I used minnows and wax worms.
The perch were there but just wouldn't hit what I was offering.:mad:
I saw a ton of shad, small mouth's and perch, one perch went 15" easy (no kidding).
Looks like I'll have to invest in a spear!

Read your post this morning BTC and decided to head out!!!! Fished in front of the coast guard yesterday and didnt do squat!!!!

Went out about 150 yards from the pressure crack, and got into some dandy's!!! They would'nt bite, but I force fed them a spear,,,, biggest 12 1/2" smallest 9", I only took him cause he was lookin for so long without biting that I got pissed!!!:D

Total for the 3 hours I was out, 13, but missed just as many if not more,,,, seemed to be majority of jumbos...

Good job ice fishin nut, looks like the spear is the way to go.
I plan on getting a spear before I head out next week, that way I still have a few day's to use it before the season ends.
Glad I could be of some use considering my lack of success:D
