Anchor Bay

Fished a spot on Anchor Bay. Very slow all day. From 7:30-4:30 only caught two... then at 4:45 a group of nice perch (all 8"-10") came in and was on a feeding frenzy... ended up with 12 total before I packed it in a 6:00. It almost all happened within 10 minutes and they were gone (until I caught one more right before I left). I was starting to wonder what all this perch hoopla was about. I've been out 3 times there before and never had much success.

It felt like I was in a sail boat today with those crazy winds. Some of those wind gusts had to clock in the mid-20's. Geesh.

Sorry I can't give out the location, I was sworn to secrecy by another on this site but the area is much the same all around the bay. I was fishing on no weeds in about 4 foot of water.

I fished the bay sat. morn, I ended up on a gravel bed, of all things, it had some nice weeds in it though, so I stayed put.,,,,,,,, BAD move, I never saw a perch all morning, I did see some of the biggest smallmouths, I've ever seen.

I fished the Sat. Am at Selfridge Saw lots only got 8 fish to keep (my friend had my Spear) Attempted Eyes At Gino's in the Pm went approx 2 miles out 15 inches of ice and not a Fish. Talked with 3 other groups who were out longer and all were skunked.

We did SANGB last night from 4:00 PM to dark. Nothing. Didn't see any where we normally go. Doesn't look good for that area right now, water was creamy. Not dirty, just white and foamy all the way to bottom.
The wind was bad and busted the zipper of my shanty. Gonna have to go with velcro or something.

I fished sat SANG also.I ended up keeping 9. It seems with the northeast in came the silt by 10 am I could barely see the bottom to spear em. Does any body know if fairhaven has clear water?

I've fished Fairhaven only this winter. The water has been clear as gin regardless of wind direction......

Fished SANGB tonight again. 4:-- PM to dark. Nothing. The big skunk. Water silty again. I asked around and no one else was doing anything either. I'll try again Wednesday night.

Has any body been doing good in the early morning hours?

I was out First light, Clear water. The perch did bite for a very short 20 min.s , then shut down. Not enough of a bite to to get me out of bed at 0430 again.

Fished SANG from 1~5 Monday NOTHING......... only saw 5 dinks in the hole all afternoon. Worst Ive done there all season. Noticed most people out deeper?? Anybody do anything in the morning??
