If any of you guys are going to mitchells or st.lukes tomorrow or anytime in the near future,, make sure you have everything in order, lic's/reg/helmets/limit#'s, EVERYTHING!!

I understand there were 3 mnr trucks parked in one of the lots today that had all there tires slashed,, gonna make some people very angry!!

Probably locals or bait shop owners. I understand they aren't happy with the OPP hitting everyone so hard. The locals are pissed that the OPP is out there getting them when they are targeting foreigners. The bait shops are pissed over foreigners being targeted because they are driving away business.

Either way, you're right, look out.

Jumbo,

Not to worry our governor was born in Canada and than moved to California.... I'm sure she wouldn't let that happen to us...

Every time I think about our freedom I wonder how long it will last.... I feel like I have a limited time before it is over....

I dont know how this became a discussion about our gov'ts. All I was doing was giving a little heads up about some MNR officers that were going to be upset in an area alot of guys from Michigan are fishing!

If you dont like how my country is run,, stay home!

Canadian Hunter, I for one and I'm sure others feel this way, appreciate you taking the time to inform us what's going on over on the other side of the ditch. I spend most of my time fishing Canadian waters and plan to do so in the future.

Thanks John, I am beginning to believe you that the fish on the MI side are simply lost Canadians.
Canadian Hunter, thanks for the updates. I would have been perturbed to find myself in St. Lukes with a written reminder that I needed my bucket labeled. Don't take the ribbing to heart.

Thanks for the heads up

Let's keep the "Canadian bashing" out of this.

It's their Country and their rules. They need to be obeyed or suffer the consequences.

Label my bucket? Like we have to label our tip-ups?

What other rules should we be aware of on the Canadian side? I'd appreciate it, fishing in Canada has interested me for years. Simcoe and some of your pike and walleye lakes are on my "to do list".

Canadian Hunter dido what Gone Fishing said! I don't know Who the hill duke was that slit the tires. But it only makes it worse for all of us. The money didn't come out of the mnr officers pockets and i'm sure he called for a tow to change the flats! i'v been stopped on the river and lake, several times in open water conditions and the mnr have alwys been professonals. I enjoy visiting/fishing Canada and it that means I have to put my name on my bucket sooooo what. Plus Canada has great Beer:-)

Pretty sure the labeling of your bucket is only for your live bait bucket (minnows) not your regular bucket, unless they are one in the same.....Anyone know for sure? Told about it a couple weeks ago at Wally's Bait in Windsor....

If that's true, there is NO WAY I'm going to "Go to the light".

In Ontario you aren't even allowed an open beer above deck on a boat.

Gone Fishing

ESOX, I'm not sure even below deck is OK. Pretty sure the boat needs to be moored or anchored as in finished boating for the day/night. Of course I have never had a beer in Canadian waters.;)

Nah, me neither.
