well fortinately i dont do anything but fish in winter so i give reports! airport bay we have a spearing shanty, good day today thur that is. we had our limit of 4 pike by 11am biggest was 35 3/4 & 12.9lbs,34 1/2 & 10.5 lbs the other were 30in each. the jumbos were moving thru all day & we caught a few but they had lock jaw. i did see a limit about 60 yards from us nice fish. maybee they will stick around this time! pyke:D

Man I miss ice fishing/spearing on that bay. I grew up on Hickory Is. and ice fished every chance I could. I moved to the U.P. and the ice fishing and fish quality are nothing like down there. I'm curious how low the water is compred to 10-15 yrs. ago? I used to put my spearing shanty out from Round Is. a couple hundred yds. where you could see down Frenchmans creek.

sorry about the late post. went out fri afternoon saw a lot of jumbos not biting anything i threw at them! managed 10 9-12 inches.missed i pike with yhe spear the decoy line was tangled in the spear:mad: oh well it was'nt that big :D tight lines pyke

i didnt know you ice fish! wre going to the airport on thur look for my shanth by the light green sea wall. m pryce black shanty with unpainted wood trim. see ya:p
