Ice fishing mini vacation

Next weekend I want to leave as soon as the 6 year old gets out of school and spend the weekend ice fishing. I will be leaving out of Dundee. I want to rent a cabin walking distance from the fishing area. I have my own shanty and gear, just need to find a good fishing hole. Thinking about little bay denoc. Any suggestions will be appreciated

Bay de Noc would be my suggestion. They are getting alot of fish up there right now, and several 10 lbrs being caught.

I always stay at Sall-Mar Resort when I go up, but there are plenty of places to stay throughout the area.

You can't walk out from sall-Mar, but you can drive right to the ice and park at the DNR's access site. If you have bigger balls than me, you can drive right to your spot.
