Went to boat launch at Lake Erie Metro Park - started at 11:00 A.M. No bites until about 4:00 P.M. Got 6 keeper bluegill and two 9"-10" perch. Me and my new fishin'buddy were the only ones catching 'em - right next to the only tie up out in the water. Would love to know how anybody's doing on any of the inland lakes in the brighton area for gills, perch, crappie, walleye, pike, the whole gambit. I may be going out to Island Lake Rec area - been told Spring Mill Pond has trout - may try a couple of little potholes around Kent lake for gills, too.

You should feel lucky, that's the best report I've heard out Erie this year.
Do a search on Lake Chemung? It's just past Brighton almost to Howell. The fishing has been good here. Also, try Kensington.

Here's a couple of the posts for you:

This should get the juices flowing. (http://www.michigan-sportsman.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=30978)
Here's an outing for Sunday if you are interested. (http://www.michigan-sportsman.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=30593&highlight=Pickeral+Lake)
Think about the outing also. If the fishing isn't good some of us are heading out in the afternoon. Maybe to Chemung or something closer. Glad to have another downriver resident on board. You'll like it here.
