I would probably try to substitute with screws and nuts.

Fishing B,

Just last weekend I gave mine a face lift. Due to some of the big winds we've been getting my rivets took a pounding. Some broke and other bent. I used bolts, nylok nut, and washers to hold my side supports up instead of a rivet. This seems to work great. On the floor rivots I bought new ones and re-rivoted them. I think it really helps to use the washers you can buy for the rivets. It gives it some added hold. Some of the rivets had them on my shanty and some didn't? I also replace my nylon strapping that snaps the side together when closed. I riveted that to my shanty with large headed rivots. I would a say get good strong rivets (steel) as opposed to aluminum. They should be stronger. Just my .02

I have a 5 year old s3000 that's been abused to the nth degree and haven't had a rivet pop (knock wood). Are these newer models?
