how deep of water r u guys catchin perch at. Here at Jackson they won't hit anything in 10-20 ft of water. Some guys r gettin some in 30 ft. I cant stand fishin that deep. Is it a must?

I'm pretty sure they hang around the bottom. 6 inches to a foot up from bottom seems to be the range I've always found 'em at.
If they're catching perch at 30 feet, I'd start at 29 1/2 feet & work my way down.........Just my opinion,,,,still learning.........

I've found that the depth varies in inland lakes. Sometimes you find them in 6ft of water, and other times 30' of water. I have heard they move deeper later in the season.
