Question of importaince.

What equiptment in order of importaince should I purchase so I can have better sucess at ice-fishing.Together my friend and I own a three man portable shanty, several ice poles ,lures,several types of tip-ups a manual and a gas auger also a ice spud .I want a ATV ,a topo map GPS and a vexilar fl8 or fl18. On the Vexilars I can't decide upon which one to buy .As soon as I buy a fl18 a fl28 will be the one to get . Of the last three ... ATV , GPS , VEX fl? I need some input of importaince of what to buy first I'll accept all comments Thankyou.

are you fishing small lakes with good access?

if you are i would buy the sonar first, gps, then atv.

otherwise if you are fishing saginaw bay or a big inland lake with poor access i would buy the atv first. you have to get there before the sonar does you any good. last would be the gps. you have to be on the fish to have a hot spot to mark. as far as the mapping goes you can buy good charts fairly cheap.
just my two cents, any only worth half of that.

thankyou east bay ed . Do you have these three items ? I've been buying each needed item once every winter.I 'm on a limited budget being a husband and a father of three daughters responsibilities comes first. Then daddy's turn is next.
