Well Saturday six of us went on our annual rabbit hunt. We have done this every year for the last 4 years. It is a great time, we use recurves, longbows or sling shots.
The deep snow had us all wondering if we would get any bunnies.
Well the first area we hunted, we took 3 rabbits in about 2 hours. Two were taken with recurves and one with a slingshot. The deep snow seemed to slow the rabbits down, but they would only run a short distance and hole up.
We hunted the rest of the day with no luck. We never seen another rabbit all day, they seemed to hole up after the morning hours. Last year we had no snow and took 3 bunnies, the year prior we had perfect conditions, (3 inches of snow) and took 5.
