The DNR has added a number of waters with no size limits for Northern Pike on them for the 2003 season. I can't find the list on the DNR website tio link to, but they are listed on pg. 12 of Michigan Sportsman's February issue.

It probably wont make it to the dnr's site until after march 31st. It is on MUCC (http://www.mucc.org) though.

I noticed that none of the lakes I fish in Washtenaw County are listed. I wish that weren't the case, as there are many many hammer handles that should be weeded out so we can get some big gators.

I'll bet some guys have pulled big pike out of Silver, Portage, North, South, Four Mile, etc. lakes but in several years of relatively hard fishing I can't seem to get anything of legal size. The biggest pike I have ever caught in these lakes is 22".
