Houghton Lake Question

What zone (part of Lake) should I rent a cottage on Houghton Lake; where is the fishing good and the water level OK so I won;t have to walk thru water to get my boat in deeper water to start my OB?
Also any recommendations on where to stay.

What your asking is pretty much none existant, most if not all want you to moor you boat in the water and away from their docks. It would be possible to do this unless you keep your boat at one of the marina's for the time you are there, but that would be defeating the purpose. What I do is take my waders put them on and go get the boat other wise you have to get wet or launch your boat and take it out every night......Ask the resort owner how they are set up for leaving the boat in the water. I know you wouldn't want to leave your boat tied to the dock because of damage to you boat and to their dock.....Hope this helps
