Here is 1 I tie for my Ebay site and myself.
A soft hackle caddis emerger. I also like to soft hackle my
pheasant tails.

I tie a size 16 with a tungsten bead pushed up behind the hackle. Favorite colors in order: Claret, Orange, Highlander green, yellow.
I like to palmer all the way into the soft hackle and use it on the nose of my cloubuggers for carp.

A lot of mine are wire-wrapped bodies. I started doing this with some fine gold beading wire I got in a craft store before all the colored wire was availble in fly shops. That color works great for sulfurs. The wire makes a decent segmented body look and gets the bug below the film quckly.

I use a size 14 or 12 TMC 2457, peacock crystal flash palmered up fo the body, a small amount of peacock ice dub right behind the feather, then partridge feather palmered. I have done really well with this one.

Starling and black, starling and orange, starling and olive. Also use hen and partridge with all the other colors. I really like tan and dun hen for late season or as a dropper (with a bead) when caddis are popping.

Oh, and peacock + starling is very good as well. Fish anytime and place you would fish a prince nymph.

Hey Shoeman, what is the recipe for that little bugger?

It's actually quite simple
Scud type hook
Olive rabbit dubbing
1 turn of partridge hackle (stripped on the hook side)
1 turn of aftershaft at the eye trimmed along the top (beard style)
An excellent caddis emerger. Best fished on a long leader in the film, although I have had success using it as a dropper behind a weighted nymph

16's and 18's
I use mostly for those finicky mid-summer fish (when nothing else works)

It's the small feather at the base of hackles
