Garmin etrex legend or Lowrance ifinder h20

Gonna pick up one or the other, just wanted an opinion from people who have one. Is the color really worth the extra $. It will be used for hunting.

color is really worth the extra money (cause you get more "guts"than just color). Been there and done that, no more B&W units foir me.

I am not sure if you have had both those units in you hand or not but the lowrance is a pretty large unit compared to the garmin. However, I know a couple of people that have that lowrance unit and love it, and yes the color screen is nice to have.

I've had them both. I gave the Garmin etrex away after I bought the Lowrance H20 !!! Trust me, the larger unit is much better for ageing eyes. I also got the LakeMaster Pro card for mine. You can't believe how nice it is to fish your favorite lake on the ice and, at the same time know where you're fishing. Are the cards perfect? No, but they're very close. Its great to fine the contours while on the ice.
You can't go wrong with the Lowrnce unit...
