Great recipe we've been using for years
6 Grouse breasts or 3 cups Dove breasts also could use woodcock
1 or 2 jar pearl onions 20 or so
8oz fresh mushrooms quartered
1/2 tsp thyme
1 bay leaf
2Tlb Cornstarch
1 bottle good beer
3Tlb oil
Cook mushrooms and onions in oil 6-7 minutes remove from pan and set aside. Add meat brown well. When meat is browned add beer, mushrooms, onion, thyme and bay leaf. Bring to bubbling then simmer covered for 45 minutes. Mix cornstarch with 2 Tlb of water add to pan stir well, cook until thickened. Serve over noodles, rice or boiled baby red potatoes quartered.....Enjoy
