ice fishing on elk lake in lapeer co.

I live on Elk lake and it is a private lake with no parking anywhere . if some fisherman want to fish it let me know and i can arrange parking for responsible fisherman and I dont mean ten people at a time . just good ol fishermen that love to enjoy the outdoors and dont have anywhere to fish. :fish:

I know some people out there. Did some trim work for em in that big log cabin on the east end of the lake. I fished it one day while I was out there and didn't even get a bite. I know there are fish in there though.

you prob just went out front id tell you were but it would be public info then,,and i like to keep ice fishin spots secret on small lakes but it isnt hard to find out once there ,,just email me when time comes and we can fish ,but s always and not that u are ,,no jerks on this lk just good o fisherman lookin to get the city blown of you!!!:lol:.this lake is fun ,lots of great locals ,heck one time we had oldtimers from kentucky with this 30ft square home made party shanty ,,:dizzy: heck i got the itch now!!!gonna have to the finder out and look for other great spots,,on lk st clair or the sag bay

Might take you up on that also:) Nice offer indeed. I grew up in the Flint area, and haven't fished for crappie or gills through ice in a looooong time. Just perch and eyes up here. If you never fished the bay or sag. river, give me a shout. River is good for eyes right now from shore, don't even need a boat. Once the water settles after this rain, I can show you a few spots to cast for eyes up here.

I grew up in saginaw then lived in freeland for awhile . I used to cast under the old zil bridge and feed the locals with fish they loved them white bass to . :yikes: also casted from midland rd at tibb rd .but i havent in a long time ,but am willing to do the drive,,
elk lake is a short walk to spot maybe 100 yds and minnows i get at imlay city fish farm some crappies at 12 to 15 inch most at 8 in and dusk seems to be the time 'ill let ya know when ice is good i hope soon

yup its private but lots of good people on lake and they let friends on ,not everyone is lucky like me to find a place on a lake ,sometimes we get people that are trespassers but they get towed out here . all ya gotta do is ask and be respectful of other peoples property and all is good ,to bad the dnr don't stock this lake ,just all natural .
