Red Fox Bear Recurve Bow

My son is now the proud owner of a 48" 20# Red Box Bear Recurve Bow with "Made in Grayling" on the limb. It doesn't have a string. Can any good archery shop set me up with one?

What kind of string does one of these bows need? How do you know how long it should be? I may have one of these bows for each of my sons now. I think it is best to learn how to shoot with one of these before a compound.
