Two questions:
1. Where is Fair Haven?
2. What are you catching there?
I have Monday off and my buddy and I are looking for a place to fish.
Fill me in!

Brian, Fair Haven is on the north shore of Anchor Bay. Looking for perch. Also some gills can be caught along with pike. Main course is perch tho.

Joe, we'll probably go out that way as long as the ice is good enough for my three wheeler. We would head out slightly left of the launch and out about a mile. Should be right near you.

Hey
Joe G & Walley Mike
I am still a novice at ice fishing. I live right by fair haven and usually fish out of the raft during the week because you do not have to pay for parking during the week and it seems the walk to some holes is shorter from there. I was wondering why do most people fish to the right of the Raft and grass island I have been wondering about heading off to the left now with this good ice, but have not seen many venture that way often so I did not know if everyone else knows something I do not. Is it safe to head to the right and about how far before you can get in to some decent areas.
By the way last Tuesday I fished the last hour of daylight to the right of grass island in near some shanties. I am on a bucket (really and ice chest) so I kind of get down wind of the shanties as a wind break. I was catching dinks almost non stop on mousies. I did come home with three good size perch and a blue gill which I fugure for just one hour that was fine. With all this ice if I stay that close to shore is that all I am going to find are small perch. Any ways just wondering any info you guys can pass on will be great.

There is a dredged canal to the right of that little island, alittle deeper than normal for the boats coming from the marina. First ice this is a good spot, later everyone seems to move out for perch and pike.
Wmike, ice is9"-12" people were driving full size trucks all over on sat. i did not like that but i never saw one go though. lots of big perch staight out from dnr site. just could'nt make them bite on sat let us know if you guys get them going. good luck.

DEAD Very slow. My buddy did spear a 28-30" pike. Other than that a couple of 7" perch each. They just came in for a look see and then left.
Meet Joe G. there also. Thanks for the info Joe. Might try again like you say when theres a warm-up.
Plenty of ice!!!!
