There is an outing to Sleepy Hollow Ovid next Saturday. I am going to Wolverine Lake (just northf Walled Lake). I will be out there aroung 9 or 10. Staying till late if the fish are biting. I have a clam junior.
My options are to work or fish. Let's go fishing. You guys have frs radios? Channel 8? I have a two man blue fish trap. Flannelfish, we have met a couple times. Big guy with a beard.
See ya, I hope.

Head on over to Murray in Lowell. It sounds like there will be a bunch of us there and depending on which side of Lansing you're coming from it's easily within an hours drive. There's a thread in the Outings forum if you're interested.
Wouldn't mind a new lake. Never been to the Grand Rapids area lakes. Guess I have a few hours to decide.
I think I just hit 100 posts.

Dave, RJF, Musicman:
I was planning on hitting Ovid around 7:30 anyway. I'll look for the black shanty. If I get there first, Look for the guy in the green coat and duck carharts. I'll head to the area that Dave (flannelfish) mentioned, searching for 9-11ft of water. Don't have a radio, but would love to run into some guys from the site. Can't go further away, because have to be back home around noon.
See ya!

Walking out from the boat launch, you would be to the right of the island. Right?

Right you are....unless I meet up with flannelfish first, I will be on the right side of the island, and probably about 100 yards to the south of it or so.

I'll probably be out there too... one man blue Viking. I'll have my radio too channel 8...see ya.....Patch!
Got on the ice around 7:30. The wind made it tough. Couldn't look for anyone without the shanty blowing away. I caught one fish. About two pounds of bullhead. Felt about like a shoe on the ultra-light. Battery went dead on the Vex. basically a bad day fishing. But, better than a good day at the office.
Let's plan it again, with better weather.
