Found these growing around some older and freshly cut oak stumps and wondered what they area;

Looks like possibly some old Honey Mushrooms to me.

remember that stump next year, its one heck of a honey tree. Looks like there are still a few good ones there, the opean ones arent as good IMO, but looks to be a few freshies.

Yep, look like old honeys/stumpers. Like Sparky said, remember that tree for next year and you will have great pickins.

I just looked again and there is for sure some good buttons on the left side of the first picture.

They look like old honies to me, but I can't see the gills. 99.9% most likely what they are though. They are still good when they open too, but when they get really big they aren't as good. Buttons are the best though.
