Has anyone fished Fremont lake lately or croton pond? I plan on fishing Fremont Monday afternoon and would like an up date on where and what I should target. I haven't fished the lake for a few years.

Buffalo,
Be careful if you go to fremont. It still had open water about a week a go I think it was sunday when I was over there and you could tell the lake just skimmed over. Hopefully with the temps we have had there is a couple inches now. check it often on your way out. Croton had decent ice on the little mo. side and I heard they where getting a few perch nothing to get excited about though.

I was in Fremont on thursday so I drove by the lake. I seen a few guys out fishing on the south shore off the boat launch.
I also seen a couple of guys fishing the the big side of Croton yesterday in front of the swimming beach by the park. I can't tell you how much ice is on either, I haven't been out there myself.
Good Fishing

I see on another thread there is 3 or more inches of ice on the lake. What was the bait and what were you catching. Any walleyes? How about the perch and gills?:)
