Spent last week fishing Whitefish lake east of Wawa. The weather was beautiful but the fishing was tough. We threw all sorts of things at them trying to find a winning combination. In all, two guys, we caught about 8-10 walleye, 4 pike, 5 smallmouth and one sucker. Not exactly the numbers we were hoping for.
The lodge we stayed at was nothing special as far as accomodations and much maintenance work needs to be done, but it is by far the cheapest lodge on the lake so we knew what to expect. The boats were great however, 16 ft. Naden and a 20 hp. Honda.
Maybe we'll try a U.P. lake next year!
