Trout,

No barrel stove, propane only. :) Still working on this, I tried your suggestion and it didn't work. I have some code messed up somewhere. I'll get it, but maybe not right away. :D

Bulletslinger, Good looking camp. I have one similar w/ a Army surplus 16X32 tent. Is that brown canvas or a wood front, it's hard to tell from the picture. I'm curious because I've been threatening to put a wood door on our tent so I don't have to keep pulling the flaps open to get in and out. I was just wondering how you supported the door frame in the opening?

Alright, can somebody look at my first post and tell me what is wrong with the code for the picture? I bet it's something dumb. Thanks in advance.

Nailer- the tent is canvas with a wood door.
made the hole setup myself the tent is 16x16.
To put a door in first make a frame that will set on the in side of the tent.Use metal brackets and lagbolts to put it together.I drive a old sign post in the ground and bolt the upright 4x4 to that.Use 1x4 on the inside of the frame for the door to close on and 1x4 on the outside of the tent.Put the canvas between the frame and the 1x4 and lagbolt it.The door is 3/4 plywood. One of the 1x4 will hinge to the door
Here are a couple of pics to help u out.

Rick it may not be much, but I'd be pretty happy with a place like that on the AuSable.

Bulletslinger, thanks for the tips and pics. I've been trying to figure out how to support the jamb on the hinge side, never thought about sticking a post in the ground. Good idea, I'll have a door w/ hinges this year. No more getting stuck between flaps of canvas trying to get out!
