Anybody know of campgrounds in or very near Alpena ?

Looking for tent camping , on the cheap side if possible , in or extremely near town , with the ability to have a campfire. Im not having much luck searching online , I see references to places but not many details. Thanks

Do to budget cuts some have been closed.

Ossineke is close.

The fairgrounds in Alpena are right on the river and I think it is still open.

Or there is campers cove which is also on the TB river and is about 5 miles out of town.

This one is kind of hidden but there. It is about 3 miles south of town but tents are only $12.

Long Lake is just north of Alpena and has a boat launch and campground:) 80 modern and 25 rustic campsites.

Yeah but the Long Lake County park is 10 miles north of Alpena.
