Here's a use for some of that Venison Round Steak that will be a sure hit with your holiday guests.

For this recipe you will need:

1 1/2 lbs round steak cut 1/8" thick
1/2 Cup chopped onions
2 Tbsp butter
1 Cup finely diced carrots
1 Cup Finely diced potatoes
1 Can Cream Of Mushroom soup
1 Tbsp Seasoning Salt
1 Cup Flour
2 Tbsp Olive Oil
1/2 Cup grated smoked cheese
1/2 Cup white wine

Proceedures:

Filling:
Heat a medium saucepan, add butter and saute onions.

Add the carrots, potatoes, 1/3 of the concentrated soup and seasoning salt.

Mix well and cook until veggies are tender.


While Filling is Cooking:

Cut Round into 2" x 2" squares.

Coat with flour and flatten with meat hammer.

Place cooked-filling in center of meat and roll up. Tuck in ends and skewer with toothpicks.

Heat a skillet and add olive oil.

Brown roll-ups on all sides.

Mix Wine, remaining soup and remaining stuffing then pour over roll-ups.

Simmer for 1 hour stiring frequently.

Sprinkle grated cheese over roll-ups and cover.

Place back on heat until cheese melts.

Excellent flavor: Serve & Enjoy.

Making current
