had a couple friends hunt around there, some did well, others not so much, pretty average i would say, but...i think its a little more crowded than most other areas around

bowfishing is an addicting sport once you try it you will be hooked......just start out with a old bow and a wind type spool......i had a reel fishing boat until i found bowfishing..now its a all bowfishing boat..try it you wont regret it...

Hey, names kris
I go to NMU and started bowfishing the last year....Given I did most of my hunting down state. I have been looking for some areas up here to do some fishing up here too. I did invest in the better bowfishg kit made by ams AND I think that was one of the best decisions i've made. I had an older bow that I didn't use so I put it on that. I also have a 12ft Jon Boat that I've installed a power inverter on it and with some marine batteries I run a 500w set of shop lighs and an electric boat motor....lol...alot I know....I have tryed it a few times durring the day with NO luck....I shot about 20 carp and 5 or 6 gar. I would say invest in the best bow fishing set you can afford. Send me a few messages.
