Went to a very NW pier Saturday evening. First time out for salmon and first time out on the pier. Saw a few fish rolling through by the breakwall but nothing seemed to be biting. At about 8:30pm a guy with light gear took 25 minutes to bring one in. Big, dark fish. Caught on a spawn bag. After about 3 hours of the gf and I throwing glow spoons, it happened. She felt it hit, and the fight was on. Made three really good runs. What a beautiful sound to hear that reel sing. after about a 7 minute fight, she brings in this beautiful chrome female.

Measured up to be 32" and about 14lbs. The smile on her face says it all. We left about 11p with only 2 being taken off the pier all night. Thanks to the netman on the pier that night. He spent more time helping out everyone else than actually fishing himself. As payment, he got fresh eggs in skein from us.
And the addiction begins.....:D
