Has anyone ever tried using a dye to color their bait like worms and minnows. I came across this web site to day and I was wondering if anyone tried it or heard of it?

Ive used the green nightcrawlers. If anything, I think we had less success with them. Not to mention ending up with the green dye on our hands, rods, reels, and anything else we touched. We got caught in the rain on the water once also, and by the time we had gotten the boat home, the worms had spilled in the bottom of the boat, and all the water in the bottom of the boat was green. Took a while to get rid of all the green. My opinion is, stick with the non dyed worms.

We bought some a few years ago at the MUCC expo. It works OK the color seemed to wear off quickly, and it stained our fingers when we touched the worms. We cought just as many fish on colored and we did on normal so in my opinion the color dosn't matter.
We also got some bait glue that will glue live dry insects to the hook without having to put the hook through the bait. It actually works pretty good, but I think allows for fish to steal your bait easier.
