What is the best way to spread urea? First time I have used urea was Saturday. My Earthway spreader was used and the urea was so fine I had to keep moving the opening to get it to come out. Do some of you guys have a method that works for you with a small spreader? Thanks, Terry

I use a bag seeder for small areas and all of the urea I have ever used was in a pellet form like most fertilizers and it flows out easily...sometimes TOO easily! :D

I don't think I'll ever spread urea again unless either -
A. It's raining; or
B. there's a massive storm coming in which shows up on the doppler radar heading straight at my farm.

Too much of it gets dissipated unless you get a rain shortly after applying it. A forecast of "showers" tomorrow is not a good enough bet for me.

Last year, I applied urea during a steady rain. That was a winner.

I'm pondering alternative ways of applying nitrogen.

28% diluted in water and put on with sprayer.
