Slow from everything I have heard. Fish are just shooting up into the river. Sounds like they are decently spread out there as well.

Was out last nite for about an hour. Nobody had anything. No hits for me either.

I spent some time at Ludington yesterday talking to fishermen who had been fishing on PM Lake. The big lake was WAY to rough for anyone to get out there. VERY few fish had been caught. The guys at Capt. Chucks said the 4 year olds are still out in the big lake. The unusually cool weather has delayed their run into the river, and the best is still to come.

You didn't miss anything 8/30. I thought the rain last night would have brought some in?? but, seems nobody was getting fish today.

I didn't fish the pier today but took a picture of it this afternoon....only seen 2 boats out (brave soles)......didn't look like anyone fishing and just a few walkers dodging the waves coming over the pier..sorry about the focus/color as the glare was extremely bad and in my face when I took the pic.........

The unusually cool weather has delayed their run into the river, and the best is still to come.

It probably has more to do with the unusually warm water stacked up on this side of the lake. Fish don't care about the air temp so much. But, with the north blow we had all weekend, and the cold water all down the shoreline, a bunch of kings should have slid into PM lake and the channel last night. And the rest of the week is showing light north winds, so it should be pretty good in close for a while. Just a guess, but a pretty safe one I think.

I am camping at the S.P. Wednesday through Sunday. Will be chucking some hardware in front of the beach house every A.M. If nothing else, at least I should have my arms in shape by the end of the week. Will post report when I get back next Monday. I gotta think that I can at least hook into a stragler or 2.

Told the wife that we should probably buy our food for dinners though .

Same issue on the Betsie and Betsie Bay.. some fish moved in but few fish were caught off of the piers.
