I just wanted to thank everyone for the help on my Michigan vacation near Curran and Glennie. A friend loaned me his hunting camp for a week and we had a great time. Michigan has some wonderful places and people! Everyone made us feel welcome on our visit. Below is a list of the things that we did on our trip. I mentioned alot of the resturants because I figure alot of you guys had eaten at these spots. Most of them were small dinners were locals eat and hang out. Thanks again!

Reid Lake Hike/caught few yellow perch from old dock.

Rode ATVs at hunting camp property where we stayed.

Guided flyfishing/driftboat trip with Mike Bachelder from Bob Linsenman's fly shop. We fished from Mio to Cummins Landing. We fished with nymphs and strike indicators. I don't think I could have gotten a better guide. He was great with my 13 year old son! So patient! We did not have a clue what we were doing. We caught about 20 rainbows and 2 browns.Someone on this forum asked me to tell Mike hello and I did.

Canoe/kayak trip from Mckinley to 4001. Caught a couple of trout on spinning gear. Saw some big trout while snorkling. Bonnie (our Golden Retriever) loved playing in the river. Nice folks at Alcona Canoe Rental.

Harrisville State Park.

Sleeping Bear Dunes Park. Wife, son and dog climbed down a 450 ft dune. It took my wife 1.5 hrs to get back up! They had a rumor that if the Park Service had to come get you, it would cost $1,000 bucks. I was starting to get worried.

Fished Pine River near Mikado.

Visited Oscoda.

Concert at Harrisville Harbor.

Lumbermans Monment.

Fished Trask Lake

Fished Vaughn Lake.

Visted Franks Sporting Goods.

Ate at Chat and Chew in Glennie

Ate at Iron Skillet in Lincoln.

ATe at Red Rooster in Greenbush.

Ate breakfast at Gates Lodge

Ate at Rosa's Italian Rest near Spruce

Checked out Ausable River landings from Mio to Oscoda.

Visted Lumbermans Momument.

Ate at bar/resturant (Ki Kaly?????????) across from Harrisville State Park entrance. Good food!

Checked out Frankenmuth Mi. Cool place. Ate at Tiffinys.

Swam in Lake Michigan and Lake Huron.
