Lk.Chemung 01-08-03 Thanks for the good time

Went to Lk. Chemung yesterday. Met Tubejig, Hunt4ever, Tattoo Mike and his daughter, justjigging, and I think Msuiceman was there. It was actually nice to catch decent size gills and crappies for a change. That is one nice lake. Had to sift thru a few smaller ones but on average they were very decent in size. Got to go back again.

Brian (hunt4ever) had the hot hand for crappies. Everyone else caught an assortment. Jubejig also had some nice perch that he got just at sunrise.

Would've had pic's but I left the camera in my hunting backpack and no one else had theirs.

How did you guys do after I left (2 pm)?

WALLEYE MIKE the fishing remained consistent after you left and even Tattoo Mike caught a couple. There was also a school of flying fish that attacked Tatto Mike shortly after you left. It was the strangest thing to see but I am glad that I stayed a little longer to witness this rare species in action. I left at 3:30 with about 15 gills, the rest of my fish were donated to the other members that were in attendence. I would like to do this again sometime, hopefully a little closer to home.

yep, i was out there with you guys..... had a great time even though i got outfished by pretty much everybody. Nice meeting some more people from the site. Ken really had those gills going, Brian sure did have the method for catching those crappies down. Luckily, my tip up finally paid off near the end of the day.

Justjigging, his friend Joe, and I stayed til almost 7PM, but got only one more small crappie, then decided to leave.

Those flying fish are something else.... fire in the hole!!! :D For some reason after flying they don't really swim much after that, its crazy.

Had another wodnderful time with some great guys from the site. The flying fish tasted real good thanks Ken. That flasher is sweet I need to get one now. :( Just jigging it was nice meeting you. I'm still laughing at the big crappie and your little pole. It looked so funny how you had to real them in. Walleye Mike it was nice to meet you. You have all the toys don't you. Hunt4ever ended up with 19 nice crappies. ! only managed 11 with my friend Joe getting 2(he was only there for about an hour) and MSUiceman chipping in for 4 of the fish i took home. Tubejig was the gill master with about 20 keepers and one bull sunfish going nearly 10". Tatto Mike was right Walleye Mike did have all the bells and whistles. I think the "best pile of fish at the end of the day" prize went to Tatto Mike and his daughter, they had a little of everything. I agree, hunt4ever is the man with the crappie routine and WALLEYEMIKE is the man with the tools. The only thing that I can hope for is not getting talked into one of those cameras the way I did the fl-18.;) Stupid me, I had my camera with me the entire day and didn't do much with it. Thanks for adding the pics Mike.

Are u guys just out from the access????/ I heard along the dropoff is where you go. WOW, that's alot of fish, good sized, too. I'll try my luck saturday, want toget good crappies, i'll be armed with a flasher, and a latern for those light specs.

We did have a pretty good day. I ended up with 19 crappies. I didn't get the biggest one, I think Tattoo Mike had one 10 +, and I think it was justjiggin had the "slab hole".

I'm going to try and get out Saturday. I'm working late on Friday, but I can sleep later.

We have an outing at lake ovid on saturday with some guys from my shop or I would join you fellas would like to meet you all maybe sunday. Patch
