First time out this season, FINALLY!! Work got me down :(
Slow day. LOTS of dinks. Stayed all day at the marina, lots of bites---- only 6 keepers all day. VERY happy to finally get out and away from it all. Big crowds for a Wed. during the day, doesn't anybody have to work anymore?? Water clarity about 2 feet. Oh well, now I got the fishin' bug!!:D

i also got out there tonight for the last couple hours....your right..lots of dinks...caught the larger ones on minnows. Ice was still a good 8 inches clear where i was fishing...will be out there again tomorrow.

You're right, no one works anymore. I couldn't believe the weekday crowds. Your report sounds like so many. If the clarity is 2' then it is slowly clearing up. A few days ago it was a foot for me and someone earlier than that said it was 6". Maybe if the water clears up the fish will turn back on but the crowds have to be affecting the fish.

Last couple of trips I've been in the back basin with few keepers and not even many dinks. I think I'll stay in the front basin next time out.

They should start seeing ice at the jet ski launch. They had ice out 100 yards from shore last week.

Can anybody confirm ice on the lake yet?
