Saginaw River Ice?

Any fishable (safe) ice on the Saginaw River yet? I was up there about a week ago and it looked pretty shaky, to say the least. Was wondering if it has become more solid in recent days? Any info would be appreciated.

Hey chris;

I live in saginaw,and the river is very unsafe right now.there just a thin layer of ice,and few spots with open water.With this colder weather comming the river should make some good ice.

The Saginaw river in bay city has about a inch at most in the third channel. The Liberty Marina down by Hooters has about 3"- 6" of ice. A few perch are being caught most being small.
