Fished Port Sanilac through the ice yesterday 8:00Am - 2:00PM. Only safe ice was at the far South end of the harbor. Set-up the shanty in 4-1/2'. Saw 3 or 4 Browns come through, had a few chase our minnows, but could not connect. Took one small pike around 26" on a tip-up.
Tried minnows, spawn, crawlers, spikes for the trout. Tons of big spottails or shiners chasing our tear-drops all day.
Ice needs low winds to firm-up.
