Hello,
im taking my family up to the ausable this weekend, we want to do a canoe trip. I have fished the river many times but never in a boat. Can anyone reccomend a good 5-6 hr float? Also is there place that will move our car from the start to finish so i dont have to take 2 vehicles?? Thanks for any help!

Were going to be staying at my cabin in luzurne, east of grayling, but i hear the east branch is pretty deep. So i was thinking either northbranch or the main.

East Branch is not a go any way with a canoe. There are plenty of trips in the time zone your looking for. Call Skip shuttle service he'll spot your car for you. There is a sticky on this site with spotters here. Have a good time!!:)

The Main branch is your best bet. The South has long floats, the North has limtied access for canoe rental places to drop off/pick up but the Main has many options including car spotting and many types of floats from 2 to 3 hours up to 4 and 5 and up to 8 to 10 hours and its easy paddling!!btw,my niece is a fighting scot alum!!:)
