10 Yr. Old Emily Brooks SMASHES Ill. BAA Grass Carp Record!!!

BAIllinois bowfisherwomen continue to re-write the BAA record books and put the guys to shame across the state!

First Liz Kovel takes the state BAA record for White Sucker.
Then Sharon Trame takes the state and world BAA record for Shortnose Gar.

AND NOW.....10yr. old Emily Brooks smashed the existing BAA Grass Carp record with this 56.7 lb. monster taken in the DesPlaines River last night. Pretty good for a young lady who just started bowfishing a year ago. CONGRATS EMILY!!!!!!!!!!!http://i31.tinypic.com/2625vd2.jpg

we shot a huge grass carp in a small inland lake 3 years ago, went between 50 and 53lbs on 3 different scales, we have seen quite a few others in there one that will go 60+ weird considering they shouldnt be in michigan.

I love seeing kids enjoying the outdoors. You're not going to get a story like that playing Xbox.:D Not only do I congratulate her, but also her parents. Nice work!
