does anybody know of a place to get lake maps of michigans inland lakes? I got a catalog from MUCC. a few years ago and it listed most all inland lakes county by county but I called them and now they say that their not available anymore and dont know if they will be in the future wondering if anybody knew of anymore resources to possibly get these maps?

You can get really GOOD lake maps in book form at
http://www.sportsmansconnection.com.
These books cover most inland lakes that have public access. includes stocking info, and tips for each lake, along with other pertinent info.
I bought 2 at Walmart last year, and I know they are available at other sporting good shops as well as from direct order from thier website.
The "Southestern Michigan Fishing Map Guide" covers 207 lakes in some 14 counties. This includes portions of Erie, and St.Clair

A lot of local bait shops sell a book of michigan inland lakes. There pretty handy, they give you a topographical view so you can see drop offs and depths.

Welcome to the best outdoor site on the 'net Carp. Come visit and post often. I've done a bit of carp fishing in my time on the Grand River in front of 6th St. Dam, using Shredded Wheat, flavored or unflavored.

we sell the sportsmans connection books. also available at wal-mart and k-mart. if you haven't seen this book you should take a look at it. includes coastal waters as well as many inland lakes you just can't find, some as small as 10 acres. also tell fish plants and survey results.
a must for anyone looking to fish new waters.

Pointer99,
I just bought the 'sportsmansconnection' maps on CD rom from Gander Mountain. The CD rom has two for michigan. One CD for all of the lower penninsula with over 900 lake maps $49.95. The other is for the upper penninsula which I did not buy. Then you can print off the maps as often as you like and don't have to worry about ruining them. They also have a website that you can purchase from. www.sportsmansconnection.com. Hope this helps.
