I found this message on another website. Does anyone know the name of the business that they are talking about? I would like to fish this lake from a toon if I get time. I would like to call and see if they still rent toons. I don't know how old the message is. Thanks.

Must becoming addle brained!! I forgot about Wakely Lake!! A great way to avoid the weekend canoe hatch!
Haul your canoe, 'toon or tube about 1/4 mile and enjoy some great warm water fishing for Bass and Blue Gills. The carryout on the corner of M72 & Srephans Bridge road rents 'toons but you have to supply your own PFD.
It's tough to get old!!

theres no company on the corner there that rents pontoons that i'm familiar with. And the pontoon I think the gentleman is referring to is the rowable single-person type, not your typical large one. Its a no gas motor lake and there isnt a boat launch- only carry-down access. great fishing though only its strictly catch-and-release and artificials only. Great fly-fishing, especially for the monster gills!

The place you are referring to is the party store on the N.E. corner of 72 and Stephan Bridge named Lucky & Laura's. (989) 348-8984 . They stopped renting the type of pontoon you are interested in last year. They were charging $50/day per pontoon. Gates Lodge may rent them though. To access Wakeley Lake you need some type of wheeled cart to transport anything heavier than a float tube down the .3 mile long path to the lake from the parking area.
