going on the typical fam canoe trip. might bring a little ultra lite rod and some spinners to fool around with. is this a waste of time? any tips what to bring lures, where to fish them? (not holes but what type of water)
thanks
tony
Read your trout regs. The Au Sable is heavly regulated. You might be using those spinners in the "Flys Only" area. Other wise, have fun.

What's your route? If you're leaving from Grayling, you can use your spinners as far down as Burton's landing. Be careful of the crowds, though. You can get a lot of canoeists out there, even on weekdays. Wouldn't want to snag one.
I'm floating Wakely to McMasters tomorrow. Gonna be a cold one, by all indicators....

You can catch trout on those spinners even with the crouds, as previously mentioned be careful of the flys only zone. Dont want to ruin a good trip with a ticket.
