A friend of mine was lucky enough to draw an Elk permit. He was wondering if he could donate it to Make A Wish Foundation or some other good organization. If He can, does anybody have any information on what he has to do? Thanks in advance Duane

Boy, I don't think so. I'm pretty sure it's tied to the name. You might have luck calling the Director at the DNR.

Not sure,but I thought you could transfer it to someone with a life threatening illness.
My hats off to you if you do that.

thanks for the link ROAD TRIPS. I will pass on the information to my friend. I told him I would take time off work and go with him if he could'nt transfer it but now it will go for a good thing.

My son applied for the transfer permits. I was hoping he might have another shot at getting a permit.

That is truly a great thing that you are doing.. Unfortunately the Make A Wish Foundation stopped granting wishes in regards to hunting and the outdoors but I work with the Tony Semple Foundation For Hope and that is what we do and I am certain that I could call Tony and I am pretty sure we would have a worthy candidate unless there is one already in mind or we have someone from this site that would also qualify but i am certain we would be happy to help and I could get the guide service provided as well.. If I can be of any help please shoot me a PM!
