I am heading out saturday morning for some musky but only have an american license. I haven't been out in 3 weeks and the last time I was out we caught 3 casting over by selfridge. I am fairly new to the lake I was wondering if anyone might suggest some good casting spots. Do you think they are still by selfridge or should we try trolling. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. All of our musky casting came on 6" jakes in the large scale tennessee shad color in 7 feet of water. Thanks and good luck

I don't think Anchor Bay's likely to be very good now. Best reports are coming from deeper (like 14-15 ft deep), cooler water toward the south end. You can launch from Alter Rd. or St. Jean and head north or launch from Crocker and head south.
Best of luck. I'd be interested in finding the temperature and depth they're at if you get into any. Dunno when I'll be able to get out there next...

The warmest water on the lake is the south shore (canada), or anywhere around the 400 club(american)
Find 70 deg and drop 'em...

Seemed to be way cooler near the DR on the US side than Anchor Bay when I was last out last week. Probably the effect of the flow in the channel from the SCR through the lake to the DR. But I suspect this cold spell has cooled down the shallower areas, like Anchor Bay, though I doubt it's caused the fish to move back to them.
