My understanding is that walleye are a migratory fish. I know they were in the rivers this spring. Are they now in Lake St. Clair? More specifically are they in the metro beach to 9 mile area? If so, what are the best techniques to catching them in during the day and at night in the lake? Also, do dipsy divers work with bottom bouncers?

Walleye are all over this time of the year. SCR/DetR/ and Lake St. Clair. If you want to target them this time of year on the lake my advice would be to go out to the South Channel where the water is deeper. BB's and divers work the same to get your line down, so I never heard them being used together.

Good luck!

NO...either or

Yes, there are walleye from metro to 9 mile. if you're a beginner, slow troll (1.1-1.5MPH) crawler harnesses with bottom bouncers 13'-18'. Good places to try are next to weed beds if you kwow where they are, adjacent to the freighter channel. Metro is a good spot, the dumping grounds another, St. Clair Light, etc. try different color harnesses.

Walleyes can be found everywhere this time of the year, however, lake Erie is by far the best place to go. However, if that is not an option, you can still catch quite a few in LSC or the rivers. Early and late are best times for sure. The LSC bite tends to be pretty quiet between 9am and 7pm or so.
