Michigan Seminars on the Future
of Hunting in America, Including Research-Based Recruitment and Retention Strategies
Mark Damian Duda, Executive Director of Responsive Management, will present an overview of hunting participation in the United States and provide recommendations for hunter recruitment and retention. This presentation, with ample time for Q&A, features research from the Responsive Management/National Shooting Sports Foundation landmark study, The Future of Hunting and the Shooting Sports: Research-Based Recruitment and Retention Strategies. The seminar will focus on hunting participation in the United States, trends in participation, the American hunter, the hunting culture, reasons for hunting cessation, hunter satisfaction and ex-hunter dissatisfaction, public opinion on hunting, and programs that can be utilized to increase hunting participation.
Seminars by Responsive Management are sponsored by Michigan Department of Natural Resources and the Michigan Chapters of SCI. Members of Safari Club International are strongly encouraged to attend a presentation. Some of the most well developed information on recruitment and retention will be available at the Responsive Management seminars.
