Three of us are going to try our luck walleye fishing Wednesday night. We have never been. We plan to launch at crocker and fish the metro beach -9 mile tower area. What advice can you give me? What bait and methods should we use? I should mention that we can't troll. Thanks for the help.

I would drive past crocker, get on I94 to marysville then drop the boat there.:evilsmile
Your best bet for catchin fish without trolling would be to hit the river. Either jigging or drifting crawler harnesses.
There is a a few fish left in the area of crocker but most have moved to deeper water in the main channel. If you want to launch from crocker, Id head over to the south channel area and drift there.

I would have to agree with jiggineyes. If you cant troll the lake,I think you would have better luck jiggin or drifting the river.

Not sure how big your boat is but you'll have much more success heading out into deeper waters this time of year than fishing in around metro beach and the mile roads. Not that there aren't Walleye in there but most of them have moved out into deeper waters.
